With the domestic CDMA2000 1x system, services
utilizing 00 MHz band and 2 GHz and frequencies are provided. There
is a need for extended call duration as well as miniaturization
and weight saving for the handsets. For this, miniaturization
of the parts and improvement of the operation efficiency of the
power
amplifier, which takes up a large portion of the consumption current
during a call, is essential. We have developed a small power
amplifier, which achieved top class high efficiency operation in
2 GHz, and we anticipate increased demand in the future. |

and lengthened the call duration of cellular phone handsets. By
optimizing the module matching circuit and the construction and
size of transistors, we have achieved the top level of electrical
efficiency
of 42% and low idle current of 40mA. |

We miniaturized the cellular phone handset by
miniaturizing and lowering the height by resin sealing package
construction. We
have achieved miniaturization to a volume of 0.02cc(*) by our
resin sealing packaging technology.
